We play rain-or-shine unless we get so much rain that the goal areas are flooded with water or there is lightning or thunder. For the soccer fields, Field #1 is the first field on the right as after you pass the stop sign in the park. Field #3 is the second field on the right. Field #2 is hidden from the parking area and is just below the soccer snack shack, which is next to Field #1.

From south of Prunedale (Salinas, etc.):

Take Hwy 101 North. Then take the San Miguel Cyn Road exit in Prunedale. This is the exit a few hundred feet  north of the Hwy 156 exit to get to the Monterey Peninsula. Once on San Miguel Cyn Road, travel about a mile and make a left turn onto Castroville Blvd. The entrance to the park is on the left about a half-mile up the road (it is the 3rd left that you can make).

From the Bay Area:

Take Hwy 101 South. Then take the San Miguel Cyn  Road exit in Prunedale. For those that have traveled to Monterey, the San Miguel Cyn Road exit is the one just before the exit for Hwy 156 to the Monterey Peninsula. At the stop light, turn right onto San Miguel Cyn Road and travel for almost one mile. Make a left turn onto Castroville Blvd. The entrance to the park is on the left about a half-mile up the road (it is the 3rd left that you can make).

If the San Miguel Cyn exit is missed, then take the Hwy 156 exit and stay in the right lane. Continue through the yield sign, at which point you will be heading east. At the 3-way stop sign, go straight - this will take you onto Prunedale North Road, which will take you to the north. At the stop light turn left onto San Miguel Cyn Road. Almost a mile from there turn left onto Castroville Blvd.

If, for some reason, the Hwy 156 exit is also missed there are still two more chances before having to drive all the way into Salinas before turning around. The first is a few hundred feet past the Hwy 156 exit. There is a road to the right (it is just past the overpass) - this is Prunedale South Road. The turning lane for it is also the acceleration lane for those getting onto Hwy 101 South from Hwy 156. Turn right onto Prunedale South Road. At the stop sign at the bottom of the hill, turn right towards the underpass. This will take you to the 3-way stop sign mentioned in the previous paragraph.

The last chance before having to drive into Salinas is to take the exit for Blackie Road, which is about half a mile from the Hwy 156 exit. There is only one exit lane after you pass Prunedale South Road on Hwy 101 and it is for Blackie Road. The turn in the exit lane onto Blackie Road is very sharp - about a 90-degree turn, so slow down quite a bit heading into the turn. Once on Blackie Road, take a right at the stop light onto Prunedale South Road. This will take you to the 3-way stop sign mentioned above.

Worst case, head about 7-10 minutes north into Salinas and take the Boronda Road exit (the first exit for Salinas). The exit lane branches into three lanes, stay in the middle lane (two lanes turn to the left and one turns to the right). Turn left onto Boronda and veer to the right to get onto Hwy 101 North.
