What is AYSO?

AYSO is a national Non-Profit Organization

In a nutshell: AYSO delivers world class soccer programs for kids and families using parent volunteer power.

Where: AYSO Region 256 is centered in Prunedale California with players and volunteers from Salinas, Prunedale, Elkhorn, Royal Oaks, Watsonville, Aromas, Castroville, Marina, and other neighboring communities. For other nearby AYSO programs, please see our links page.

When: Fall (August - November) and Spring (March - June).

Who: We are an all-volunteer organization committed to providing a safe, fair, and fun experience for all players and family members -- whether soccer novices or experts. Our program is inexpensive yet high quality thanks to volunteers like you. Please volunteer to make our AYSO program the best that it can be for your kids.

Kids Zone

Your kids are our top priority. Our Kid's Zone program helps everyone stay focused on making AYSO a safe, fair, and FUN place for you kids!!  (No side line screaming!!)

Accredited Coach Training

AYSO is the only national youth soccer program whose coaching program is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Coaching Education. Many famous soccer players got their start in AYSO.

Positive Coaching Alliance

AYSO is a member of the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) and won PCA's National Leadership Award in 2009.
