AYSO Region 256 is pleased to announce receipt of a $5,000 grant from Pacific Gas and Electric Company that was awarded to our VIP program for special needs players. Their award letter noted that our “organization’s success in providing opportunities for children with special needs access to soccer through the AYSO VIP program is a great example of community-based teamwork."
Region families: there is an immediate need for host families for a Challenger Sports soccer coach working in the area for the remainder of May. If your family can host him, even if not for the entire time, you can get a free spot for the Challenger Sports soccer camp at Manzanita Park this summer (see below for the Manzanita camp info). Our U14-G team, the Highlighters, took 3rd place in the Western States Championships down in Lake Forest. About 650 U14-G teams participated in the Fall season for Sections 1, 2, 10 and 11. Great job ladies!!!
