Region 256 changes to be implemented for the 2019 Fall season

Starting with the 2019 Fall season, we will be making some changes regarding registration, team formation and the Opening Day Ceremonies. You can find the changes by clicking here.

AYSO Region 256 is pleased to announce receipt of a $5,000 grant from Pacific Gas and Electric Company that was awarded to our VIP program for special needs players.  Their award letter noted that our “organization’s success in providing opportunities for children with special needs access to soccer through the AYSO VIP program is a great example of community-based teamwork."

Fall 2018 News

Fall 2018 season sign-ups
We are starting the sign-ups for the fall season a little earlier this year. This will allow us to start forming the teams the beginning of August, providing more training time before the start of the season. Full details of the season can be found by clicking here. We have scheduled more in-person registration events this year due to the new registration process and web site.

Only on-line registration forms are accepted - hand-written registration forms are no longer accepted by the National AYSO organization. Log in to the our region's Blue Sombrero page (more information hereto preregister. Complete the online registration application, print a copy and bring with you to one of the registration processing events. The new on-line registration system allows for on-line payments with a debit or credit card, so we have moved to on-line payments only. If you chose to pay at one of our on-site registration events, we will have at least one computer available to allow you to log into your Blue Sombrero account and make your on-line payment so please do not show up with checks. Early registration fee is $100 per player for the 6U and above divisions and $75 per player for the Playground division, regular registration fee is $125.00 per player for the 6U and above divisions and $100 per player for the Playground division, and late registration fee is $150 per player for the 6U and above divisions and $100 per player for the Playground division. Early registration is any registration paid online by the end of June. Regular registration is any registration in July. Late registration is any registration after July. PLEASE NOTE: The Blue Sombrero system runs off of East Coast time. If you are trying to beat the date cut-off to avoid a higher registration fee, you must pay online before 9PM Pacific Time.

For more information regarding online preregistration, including the new web site, please see the instruction here.

We are always in need of coaches and referees so please consider volunteering. More information on signing up as a volunteer can be found here.

For registration, please bring a copy of the player's birth certificate for age verification. We do not keep it - we only use it to verify the player's age.

Unless otherwise specified, the registration processing events at Manzanita Park will be at the meeting room up the hill by the baseball fields.

PLEASE NOTE: Your player's application will not be fully processed until payment has been received and the player forms have been turned in. This means you will not receive emails about open practices or other important dates and information until the application is received. Players that are not fully registered are not allowed to practice or play in matches.

If you have any questions please feel free to text us at 831-296-0550 or send us a Facebook Message to AYSO Region 256. Please make sure that you look for the information here first before calling.
