7 of 9 is Not Just a Star Trek Character
With an impressive 3-under 69 on the final day, Colin Coben won his 7th of the last nine Auto Clearing Championships.
Coben started off strong with a 2-under 70 on Tuesday when we all enjoyed Chamber of Commerce weather. We were brought back to the reality of golfing in Saskatchewan with strong winds on Wednesday, when the best anyone could do was shoot 76. Clement weather, and good scores, resumed on Thursday, but Coben showed early he could not be caught.
One bright note on Wednesday was Murray Lee's hole-in-one winning the $5000 prize sponsored by Cherry Insurance, the first time in the 19 years the Championship has been held that someone aced the right hole.
