Holly Elisabeth Blanton-Smith (pronounced Smythe) is the State of Texas PCOC toady assigned to oversee the Austin Ghostbusters. Like her benefactor, Texas PCOC Chairman and State Senator Gary Wallerman, she believes that it is this country's moral corruption and perversity that makes Ghostbusters even necessary. She is quick to show up to the scene of a call to "oversee" things and verify that there are no infractions on the Ghostbusters part. She knows the regulations of her job by verse and will quote them at any who dares to impede her.
Holly is also known for her work with her church, where they have picketed past Ghostbuster incident sites, spreading their religious message for the world to hear that if the victims had merely lived a life on the straight and narrow, that they wouldn't be punished by the Almighty for their sins.
Rufus is haunted by the ghosts of his two ex-wives, the first died of cancer and the second from a car accident and they both came back to haunt him. Back in the 90s, Rufus originally agreed to service the ATX Ghostbuster equipment if the crew could free him of their constant nagging, a feat they accomplished handily. Because Rufus has minor ESP abilities and is sensitive to PKE fluctuations, he claims to still be able to hear their voices. As such, he has a penchant for holding one way conversations with the containment unit, and is often found there.
Rufus Wiesner is a retired NASA Engineer specializing in electrical and nuclear engineering and the technical expert of the original Austin Ghostbusters franchise in the early 90s. Rufus came back when the Texas State Government closed the Department of Paranormal Affairs to oversee the transfer of the containment unit back to private ownership. He stayed on part time to oversee the equipment (since he's actually qualified for the job).
