Ashfield Community Market held it's inaugural event in August 2023. Started by a group of enthusiastic parents who wanted to strengthen the relationship between our school and the local community.
ACM is now a quarterly event, with dates in February, May, August and November!
The market is a fundraiser for Ashfield Public School P&C, who support Ashfield Public school student and teachers by providing additional resources to the school.
Our market is entirely run by volunteers, which makes it pretty special!
We welcome stall holders of all shapes and sizes to our market! If you have a hobby or if you own a business we would love to have you with us :) Please ensure you read the Market Guidelines carefully, and ensure you have the appropriate documentation to make applying for our market a smooth experience.
We welcome children who have a vision and want to run their own stall! Reduced rate stalls are available and will help your child get started with their budding business. All licences and insurances we require are also required by child vendors.
We can help you spread your message with reduced rate or free stalls - limits apply.
We welcome food and beverage vendors, fresh produce vendors, plants, craft, handmade items, clothing and accessories, vintage clothing and repurposed items. We ask that you clearly display the prices of your products or services.
Items such as toy guns, cap guns, weapons, noisemakers, 'silly string' or other similar products, are restricted. If items are illegal, offensive or defamatory won't be accepted at the market.
Ashfield Public School is a NFP and registered charity. All proceeds from ACM go to Ashfield Public School P&C to support Ashfield Public School students and teachers. We are currently taking expressions of interest for sponsorship of the market in 2025. If your business is interested please contact us!
Volunteers make the world go round! We welcome all skills to help us out - photographers, social media, people to help us set up on the day, and people to help us ensure smooth running of the day and everything in between!

Location and FAQs
Where are you located? The market is held on the grounds of Ashfield Public School - 117 Liverpool Road Ashfield.
Is there parking available? There is limited parking available on Murrell Street and Liverpool Road but there is street parking available close to the school site. Wests Ashfield Leagues club has free parking, and also Ashfield Mall which are both a short walk away.
How do I enter the school to get to the market? You can enter through the main gate on Liverpool Rd, or via the side gate which is located on Murrell Street.
How do I get to the market from Ashfield Station? Easy! It's just a short walk from the station to our school. Just walk east along the railway line, past the commuter carpark and turn left. Ashfield Public School is located on Murrell Street!
Hello! We are Sarah and Kathryn and you may have met us when arranging a stall at the market. We love organising the market to raise money for Ashfield Public School, but we also love meeting so many fabulous members of our local community. On market day, you'll find us running around ensuring a smooth event. When we're not running a market, we are busy mums with real jobs!
