Fundraising Committee

If fundraising is where your talent lies, then please consider joining our Fundraising Committee. This committee is a great way to meet new parents all with the same aim - to work to benefit the children at Ashfield Public School.

Why do we fundraise at Ashfield Public School?

Funds raised through the various activities our Fundraising Committee run go towards providing additional resources and experiences that might not otherwise be available for our children.

Without the support of our families and the local community, we would not be able to provide such opportunities for our children, so Thank You for all that you do to help support the P&C.

What exactly do you fundraise for?

We fundraise for additional resources for the school. The decisions are collaborative and based on meetings between the P&C executive committee, the P&C general population and the broader school community in consultation with our Principal, Damien Moran. 

In the 2023/24 financial year we;

• Installed air conditioning into 15 classrooms!! See photo of our past treasurer with a big cheque for Ashfield Public School! Such a proud day for all of us.

• Raised $1217 for Settlement Services International (SSI) in our Harmony Day bake sale. SSI supports individuals, children, families and communities via a range of vital human services from settlement support of newcomers and refugees, through to programs in employment and education, and health, wellbeing and social supports for all Australians, new and old.

In the 2022/23 financial year we;

• Repaired Wangal play equipment; 

• Purchased new bike racks; 

• Provided money for dance costumes; 

• Funded the reading encouragement program with “Badalya Bucks”; 

• Purchased PM Readers e-collection and InitialLit readers; 

• Put money towards the year 6 camp to subsidise costs for all families

In the 2021/22 financial year we;

• Purchased decodable Readers for early stage one students; 

• Provided money towards a library upgrade 

• Purchased Computers

• Funded the reading encouragement program "Badalya Bucks" to encourage students in their reading.
