No, t-shirt, trousers and soft shoes are fine

Our classes are suitable for both beginners and the more advanced student.

Will Tai Chi be too strenuous for me?
No, Tai Chi is gentle and relaxing and you only do what is comfortable for you.

Is is true that Tai Chi is a martial art?
Yes it is true, but our main focus is on gaining health and fitness value from the gentle exercise aspect of Tai Chi.

How will Tai Chi affect my joints?
Generally joints gain benefit from exercise, however if it causes discomfort discuss this with the tutor or your doctor.

What will I gain from attending Tai Chi classes?
Slow fluid movements can benefit the whole body and mind, increasing fitness levels, improving joint function and developing muscular strength. Tai Chi can be included as part of a falls prevention strategy.
