Research Statements

Junior faculty often ask me questions about how to write a research statement / what a research agenda or statement looks like, so I'm posting my research statements for both promotion to Associate with Tenure and promotion to Full Professor below. I offer these as examples, not as exemplars. I wouldn't say there were especially good research statements (they probably weren't) but they were enough to get me promoted, for whatever that's worth.
