message to IEF-Review describing the paper:
Western approach to science and social science has been deeply influenced by the great battle that took place between Church & Science in Europe. Unfortunately, it is very hard to find this information in standard accounts, written by secular minded people, who entirely ignore this. It is not an attempt to deceive but rather a vast under-estimation of the role of religion in European history.
The essay attached, which will be presented at an upcoming conference at IIUM in Kuala Lumpur at end of January, describes the history of logical positivism as an attempt to bury religion. It shows how current economics is built on these strongly anti-religous ideas, which is why it is not compatible with Islam.
