COLLEGE REPORT (2012)
To present college report today I have to look back to the year 2005 when Suraksha Trust () thought of opening a Graduate level Nursing Educational Institution. It will be injustice if I do not mention the name of three Master minds of these projects – Dr. Mrs. B. Goswami, Mr. A. Sharma and Dr. K.N. Sharma along with the experts of nursing profession who extended their helping hands in direct or indirect ways.
The ground works started in the year 2005.
Land for college was purchase in 2006 at Nizsindurighopa village, Changsari in Kamrup (R). Affiliation from G.U and recognition from INC and SNC was obtained in the 2007. As it was the mid session of the course in G.U, we waited till the commencement of regular session in the year 2008. Ultimately first batch of BSc Nursing students was inducted in july 2008 and the course started in Good Friends Hospital, Ulubari. Simultaneously, construction of permanent building in permanent sits was going on in warfooting manner under constant and untiring supervision of Mr. A. Sharma, Secretary, Management committee. As a result the college could shift to its permanent site in the month of February 2010.
In the year 2010 the boundary of nursing education was expanded in Arya Nursing College with NOC from Govt. of Assam, recognition from INC and SNC and affiliation from SSUHS to start Post Basic BSc. Nursing, GNM and ANM course in the same premises.
As a result under the broad umbrella of Arya Nursing Academy, presently four numbers of batches are going on. The Academic control of these under graduate, diploma and certificate are under different academic heads. All the activities other than academic ones are conducted in Arya Nursing Academy at a time considering the Academic calendar of each course.
At present number of students are as follows
We are proud enough for our students from the pioneer batch till the present batch for their vibrant talents equally in curricular and extracurricular performances.

These students are recruited soon after the examination through campus interview in various health care organizations outside Assam.
Post Basic BSc. Nursing first year 1st position under SSUHS
GNM and ANM students also performed their excellency in their councils results along with other extra curricular activities.
In extra-curricular activities students from Arya Nursing Academy attended SNA state conference in August 2011 at Kokhrajar and they were awarded with 4 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals.
The SNA unit of this Academy attended National Biennial Conference in Bangalore in Nov 2011. Other than that students of ANA participated in different programmes organized by different State Level Orgnization like BPNI where they were appreciated by dignitaries and experts for their performance of a skit on Brest Feeding and its importance in 2011 during Breast Feeding Week.
In the year 2012 also, students participated in Breast Feeding Week with a skit and in Debate competition organized by BPNI state branch. Our students obtained 2nd and 3rd prize.
Students also participated in AIDS awareness rally organized by Assam AIDS control society. Students perform Health education programme in group in the nearby schools and the community each years.
All these performances and feedback received are nothing but rewards and inspirations for us for our onward journey and in near future we have our plan to enhance the students intake and to start Post Graduate programme along with enhancements of facilities and infractures.
