Hi my name is Lisa Johnson. I have been teaching art (and sometimes other courses) since graduating from Calvin College in 1986. I have completed post-graduate work in art, technology, physics, curriculum development, and Spanish from a variety of schools, including, Michigan State University, Hamline University, and Universidad Javeriana.
After teaching art at Northern Michigan Christian School, for two years, I taught at a small K-12 school in Colombia, South America, as a teacher with Wycliffe Bible Translators. There, I taught science, art and physical education. Prior to joining Eagle Ridge Academy, in 2004, when the school started, I taught art at Calvin Christian School in Edina, Minnesota. I live in Edina with my family. I enjoy reading, writing, and visiting art museums and archaeological sites around the world.
I'm really a nerd who likes to learn about people, their ideas, and the world, through art and history. Working at Eagle Ridge has brought out my inner art geek!
