Two kinds of data can be imported: data from individual sizes of all specimens found in each of the samples, or absolute frequency data, ie number of individuals of each size class found in each sample. Only data according with format of template files will be recognized.
Each template file contains the data from a sampling at a spatial unit, so that, for each sampling campaign, there will so many data files as spatial units. Spatial unit refers the total area of study, unless some subdivisions or strata were established within it. In this case, the spatial unit refers to each of defined strata.
Limits of calculations
The analysis for non-stratified areas, named "Análise parcial" (Partial analysis), supports up to 80 samples per study area, while the analysis for stratified areas or "Análise completa" (Complete analysis) may include up to 8 strata with 80 samples each.
If data from individual sizes are imported, the analysis can be performed for a total of 11 species, with a maximum of 200 individuals for each sample. If data entered are size frequencies, the calculations are limited to a maximum of 40 size classes of 1, 3 or 5 mm range.
