Welcome to my personal website
I'm Arne – a data and analytics specialist with a background in economics, technology, and education.
I currently work at DataCamp, a VC-funded scale-up based in the United States, where I serve as a team lead. My focus is on designing and managing learning content in areas such as machine learning, data engineering, and MLOps. The goal is to create practical, accessible resources that help individuals and organizations build real-world data capabilities.
In addition to my work at DataCamp, I teach as a guest lecturer at the University of Heidelberg, where I offer courses on data science, machine learning, and applied statistics.
With over a decade of programming experience, I enjoy bringing applications into production and acting as a bridge between technical teams, domain experts, and decision-makers. I work primarily with Python, R, and SQL, and have hands-on experience with tools such as Docker and different Cloud environments.
My areas of interest and experience include:
Applied machine learning, econometrics, and statistics
Data engineering and production workflows
Automation and optimization of data processes,
Supporting organizational change through data and analysis
Translating between technical complexity and business or policy needs
Reproducible and maintainable workflows using Python, R, SQL, and modern data tools
Designing and managing education programs in data and digital topics
Applying data where data contributes to solving practical or societal challenges
