Dear AP Readiness STEM Educators & APR Leads,
Thank you for registering for UCLA's Virtual AP Readiness STEM Program for 2020-21. We look forward to supporting you and your students on the AP Journey to Success!
As a participating teacher, you are expected to support the Instructors in the classes. You may move around rooms to check on your students, but it is expected that you will support the instructors. Please take a moment to indicate which classes you would like to support by completing this brief Google Form by Thursday at 9AM - https://forms.gle/KevA6YLwJZbNoHrb8. (If you are an “APR Lead Teacher”, you don’t have to complete this form, Ana Beltran will assign your classes to support).
The day starts with students and educators logging on to their first class prior to 8:30 AM and completing the “Attendance Sign-In Form”. This will open at 8 AM on Saturday and serve as our primary method of attendance collection along with the Evaluation at the end of the day. We will also use the Zoom Usage Reports – so the “Screen Name/Renaming” for both you & your students is important. Details are included in the Student & Educator Instructions.
On Saturday, you are welcome to visit one of the AP Readiness Headquarters or APR Lead Teacher Room listed at the bottom of the Agenda if you have any questions. I will be in the AP Readiness Headquarters, Ana Beltran from LAUSD will be in the APR Lead room. Attached are the Agenda with Links, Student Instructions, Teacher Instructions, and the AP Readiness Instructional Schedule for Fall 2020. At the bottom of the Agenda, the Tech support rooms are listed as well as the Teacher Reflection Session (Optional) at 12:45 pm.
Students will also receive an email message to both their School & Personal Email Addresses. Please advise the to check the “Junk/Spam” folder for their school email AND the “Promotions” tab for the personal accounts if needed. These emails contain pertinent information including the Agenda, the Schedule and the Student Instructions. Students are required to attend 2 Classes (one in the AM session and one in the PM session) in the same subject. We have built in multiple breaks to help support students.
Instructor Handouts/Materials will be available via this Google Drive link beginning on Thursday, November 12th (note that not all Instructors send materials ahead of time) - http://bit.ly/stemhandouts
Thank you for your dedication to students learning and we look forward to another/new great year of UCLA's AP Readiness Program.
Sincerely,
James Keipp
