Laurent recently spent a few weeks in Japan in order to give a lecture on micro/nanofluidic energy conversion at the 2016 School of the international research network NAMIS. On that occasion, he visited Yasutaka Yamaguchi and Takeshi Omori in Osaka, and Gota Kikugawa in Sendai. They started working together on an extensive testing of various methods to extract interfacial transport properties (in particular, friction and heat transfer) from equilibrium molecular dynamics simulations. This is indeed a key methodology to the modeling side of the NECtAR project.
