Experience

I grew up in Michigan's beautiful Manistee National Forest. From a young age, I knew that managing and encouraging recreational access would be my career calling.

A second passion for healthy activity facilitated my seeking training, certifications, and employment in various areas of the health industry. My favorite research investigates active and outdoor recreation programming that addresses health disparities.

I am inherently motivated to continue pursuing my interests in the human health and outdoor recreation fields in academic, vocational, and volunteer settings.

I have been fortunate to work in wonderful places with many great people. Past employment in the parks and recreation field has literally taken me around the world, and now I'm loving the forests, deserts, and mountains of Arizona.
