Atticus

Atticus – 16 hh Friesian Sporthorse gelding, born August 2, 2011 (coming 14 years old).

Atticus is truly a superstar! He’s a bold, honest partner with a sweet and willing personality. While he can be strong at times, he thrives with a confident rider who appreciates his brave, watchful nature (a habit carried over from his early years as a stallion).

He has a solid foundation from being ridden almost exclusively by a professional trainer during the first four years of his career. Atticus has successfully competed in Beginner Novice eventing and, with a little refresher, could easily step back up to Novice. In the jumper ring, he has schooled up to 4’ and previously shown in the 2’9” division. He hasn’t been in a heavy jumping program recently but has the scope and aptitude to return with the right rider.

Atticus also shines in dressage—he works nicely in a frame, responds to light cues, and understands movements like leg yield with ease. He is sound, healthy, and has excellent ground manners, making him a pleasure both in and out of the saddle.
