Biography
Biography: Dr. Animesh Chaturvedi is a faculty member in the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence program at IIIT Dharwad, Karnataka. He completed his Postdoctoral research at King’s College London in collaboration with The Alan Turing Institute. He holds a PhD from IIT Indore (May 2020), an MTech from IIITDM Jabalpur (August 2014), and a BEng from IET-DAVV University Indore (May 2011). During his MTech studies, he undertook research internships at IIT Kanpur and Motorola-Arris. His academic contributions include publishing five IEEE Transactions papers, one IEEE Journal paper, two papers on ABDC listed Management Journal, and 17 IEEE/ACM International Conferences, including DSAA, CloudCom, SMC, BigData, COMSNETS, CoDS-CoMAD, and ASE. His research and teaching interests includes Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Systems Engineering, Cloud Computing, and Graph Analytics. He has led and supervised projects related to LLMs, Hadoop/HDFS/Spark, System networks, Cloud services, Big Data Analytics, Social media analytics, and Text analytics.
Dr. Chaturvedi was selected among 200 Young Researchers by the Heidelberg Laureate Forum in 2019 and 2024, where he had the opportunity to interact with over 20 laureates in Computer Science and Mathematics. He was also recognized as an HLF Alumni during the Virtual HLF 2020. His talks include presentations at Motorola Mobility Bangalore, IIT Kanpur, TU Eindhoven (Netherlands), NTU Singapore, University of Miyazaki (Japan), Schloss Dagstuhl (Germany), and CSE IIT Bombay. He has collaborated with esteemed professors from the University of Cambridge (UK), University of Surrey (UK), University of Tartu (Estonia), Loyola University Maryland (USA), and University of Paris-Sud (France).
Dr. Chaturvedi serves on the Program Committee for the 32nd ACM CIKM (2022, 2023, 2024), 10th IEEE DSAA (2022, 2023, 2024), IEEE Big Data 2024, and IEEE ANTS 2022. He has reviewed manuscripts for IEEE Transactions on (Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge and Data Engineering, Service Computing, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Emerging Topics in Computing), IEEE Systems Journal, ACM HyperText, and ACM KDD. He has received travel grants from various organizations, including IEEE, ACM, HLF, IMU, SAP, and CSIR, to attend significant conferences such as ACM ISEC 2012 (Delhi), IEEE ICSM 2013 (TU/e Eindhoven), IEEE MESOCA 2013, IEEE CloudCom 2014 (NTU Singapore), IEEE/ACM ICSE 2014 (Hyderabad), IEEE SMC 2018 (Miyazaki, Japan), HLF 2019 (Germany), IEEE DSAA 2022 (Shenzhen, China), and IEEE/ACM ASE 2022 (Michigan, USA).
