From Venice's St Lucia Station, we arrived at Florence's Santa Maria Novella Train Station by taking the Eurostar train (42 Euros - 2 hours). In the city of Florence, you will find the Duomo, the Campanile Bell Tower, the Accademia Gallery (David Statue), the Uffizi (artwork); there is a replica of the David outside of the Uffizi, the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge on the Arno River) and a lot of shops. Florence is definitely walkable throughout.
