While attending the Colorado State University Writing Project Advanced Institute (CSUWPAI), in the summer of 2010, I worked with classroom teachers and elementary school students to create digital stories and podcasts:

The CSU Writing Project is a part of the National Writing Project (NWP), a nation-wide organization designed to provide teachers with ongoing professional development. The podcasts served as an opportunity to save the stories of eight English Language Learners and ten students that were native English speakers. Students wrote 5Frame stories similar to the example provided under the "Y" entry as well as poetic odes that they recorded into GarageBand on Mac laptops. They added jingles, music, and sound effects to give their podcasts mood, tone, and emotion.
