I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Systems Engineering (SYE) at City University of Hong Kong (CityU). My research focuses on design and operations of intelligent transport and logistics systems with applications of emerging information and computing technologies . I received my undergraduate education in Hong Kong. My doctoral research on optimal control of dynamic transport networks completed in England received a Gordon Newell Memorial Dissertation Prize in 2008.

I am serving as the program leader of the Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) program in Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering (ITME) in the SYE department at CityU, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Bright Future Engineering Talent Hub program. Externally I am a  Board Member of the Hong Kong Society for Transportation Studies (HKSTS),  Vice-President of the Operational Research Society of Hong Kong (ORSHK),  and Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILTHK). I am also serving on the Expert Review Panel of Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre (LSCM), and on the committees of Urban Rail Transit Systems (AP065) and Railroad Operating Technologies (AR030) in  the US Transportation Research Board (TRB)

Before joining CityU, I have held academic and research positions at University College London in the U.K., and University of California Berkeley under the California PATH program in the U.S.
