Irving Whelan of Halstead, Kansas and Miss Frances Roberts, Cloverport, Ky, were united in marriage at three o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Catholica Rectory Halstead, the Reverand Davis Egg officiated. The attendants were Miss Margaret Byrns and D. Buser. After a short wedding trip, the young couple will return to Halstead to make their hom. The bride is a very popular lady at Cloverport and is well known in Meade County. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Whelan of Flaherty and is of sterling worth. He has been employed in the oil fields near Busston, Kansas for some time.
