                                            Introducing Classical Guitarist GeorgeSakellariou

Post date: April 19, 2023

The ALACristina International Show is presenting the Classical Guitarist George Sakellariou  – May 9, 2023 at 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM - 91.5 FM  KKUP.org  Cupertino, California time…more

I am so happy to introduce George Sakellariou for the second time in my show. The first show we have was last year when I presented the Maestro Andres Segovia Documentary which was a great success and received some great compliments.

Let me tell a little about George Sakellariou, he began playing the guitar at an early age, he received his formal training from the Conservatoire of music in Athens after his training with honors, he was invited to further his studies with Maestro Andres Segovia.  After completion of his study he joined the faculty of the San Francisco Conservatory and eventually became chairman of the Guitar department.

For me it gives me a distinct pleasure to have a musician of this caliber in the show to introduce his latest album.  I have the opportunity to listen to this album so I can produce the show and now I am ready to introduce this beautiful album to the Bay Area, national and international audience.

In this two hour show you are going to hear some great music and one hour introduction to George Sakellariou's new album.  Please do not miss the opportunity to hear this beautiful guitar music.  You are going to be surprised.  FYI,  KKUP.org archives our shows for 2 weeks, 24/7 so you can share the show with your friends around the world.

Muchas Gracias - Cristina

                                         Introducing Classical Guitarist Michael Lucarelli

Post date: June 1, 2021

Introducing Classical Guitarist Michael Lucarelli, from the USA, June 29th, 2021 at 6:45 PM – 8:00 PM (California time)  ... more

The guitar is such a beautiful instrument and is a worldwide favorite with enormous influence across the continents.  This musical instrument originated in Spain in the 16th century. Over the last few decades there has been so much interest in guitar music.  I discovered guitar music when I was seven years old. In my school years, we used to have school presentations during the year of flamenco singing and dancing.  I loved guitar music, if you are familiar with my show, there is always guitar music in my shows, and it’s a must.

On June 29th, 2021 at 6:45 PM – 8:00 PM in the KKUP 91.5 FM studios in a live show, I am introducing the music of the talented musician Classical Guitarist Michael Lucarelli for the first time in my show. The first time I heard his music was in Utube the song “Ave Maria’.  Since I liked the song so much, I invited him to my show, a few hours later he responded with a yes, and here we are co-producing a long distance show together for the first time which is going to air June 29.

Michael and I are very creative, let’s hope that we can co-produce a great show for the Bay Area audience together.  Let me tell you, I love to produce long distance shows with musicians from different parts of the world, it’s so exciting. I remembered the time when this idea was an impossibility but now technology is on my side.

I hope you can take a little time from your busy schedule to listen to the show with Michale Lucarelli and invite your friends so they can enjoy the presentation also.
