Alyssa was born and raised in Seminole, Florida. She graduated from Seminole High School in 2009 in the top 2% of her class.

She is currently a senior at USF Tampa campus majoring in nursing and studying as part of the University of South Florida's Honors College.

Alyssa is currently enrolled in USF's Baccalaureate Nursing Program in her final semester. She graduates on August 9th, 2014 and plans on sitting for the NCLEX examination to get her license to practice as a professional RN in September 2014. She plans on applying to All Children's Hospital's Pediatric RN one year residency program. In Spring 2015, Alyssa plans on applying for USF's Pediatric Doctorate of Nursing Practice program to start in Fall 2015. She cannot wait to spend the rest of her life enriching the lives of others.

Outside of her preparation for her future, Alyssa enjoys dancing competitively as well as for fun, tutoring, cooking, adding to her photography collection, babysitting, volunteering as a camp counselor, participating in various community activities, and spending her days soaking up the sun at the beautiful beaches along the Gulf of Mexico. She loves spending time with her wonderful family and friends and lives her life to the fullest! She has so many hopes and dreams and will spend the rest of her life fulfilling each one. There is nothing she will not do to accomplish her goals because she believes she can do anything she puts her mind to!
