ALMA and the Radzyner School of Law of the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) would like to invite you to the next session of the Joint International Humanitarian Law Forum. The session will be held on December 16, 2013, 18:30, in room C110 (Arazi-Ofer Building, 2nd floor) in the IDC.

In this session Dr. Ruvi Ziegler will present his new paper:

Non refoulement Between Common Article 1 and Common Article 3

The article considers whether, in the context of armed conflicts, certain non-refoulement obligations of non-belligerent States can be derived from the 1949 Geneva Conventions.

Dr. Reuven (Ruvi) Ziegler is lecturer in law at the University of Reading School of Law (specialising in human rights, international humanitarian law and international refugee law); the Editor-in-Chief of the Working Paper Series of the Refugee Law Initiative (Institute for Advance Legal Study, University of London); a researcher at the Israel Democracy Institute (analysing the treatment of African asylum seekers in Israel as part of the Constitutional Principles project); and an academic visitor, Faculty of Law, University of Oxford.

Following the lectures there will be an open round-table discussion.
