Wrestler of the Week - January 21

Wrestler of the Week for January 21 is Grade 12 wrestler Lane Harris. New to Port Alberni and ADSS this year, Lane quickly took an interest in wrestling for the Alberni Armada. Though he is no stranger to combat sports or hard work this is Lane’s first year in Olympic wrestling. Lane’s background in martial arts and strength and conditioning has allowed him to experience success in his first year. Lane won a gold medal at the Campbell River Invitational. An impressive result for anyone but especially because it was his first tournament. Lane’s nominator noted, “the person I chose has shown lots of dominance and grit. He's always asking questions and improving his technique. He shows a very positive attitude. I hope to see him at future events.” These are just some of the reasons why Lane is a great choice for Wrestler of the Week.
