Wrestler of the Week - February 20

Wrestler of the Week for February 20 is Grade 11 wrestler Michel Kurucz. Michel is one of the veteran female wrestlers on the ADSS team. She has an aggressive wrestling style and will try to throw anyone she wrestles in practice or tournaments, big or small, male or female. She seldom misses practice and has consequently continued to improve and grow as an athlete. Recently she won the Wildcat Invitational in Burnaby and was second at the Alberni Invitational. Her only loss at the Alberni was a hard fought final to the defending provincial champion. There is no denying Michel’s dedication or passion for the sport and to the Alberni Wrestling program. She believes in our philosophy and is proud to be a part of the rich tradition our program has built. Michel Kurucz is a great choice for Wrestler of the Week.
