Vice President

I have a BS degree in Physical Education. I retired from my career with the Anchorage School District in August 2017. My last position was managing the eleven 21st Century Community Learning Centers (afterschool programs). My previous positions have included ASD Community School Coordinator, Girl Scout Field Executive and Camp Director, Camp Fire Boys and Girls Club Organizer and Day Camp Director. I love providing adult training opportunities, public speaking presentations, and program planning. I am an active community volunteer. I have served on non-profit boards, national and state committees.

My UMW experience includes Unit: President and Treasurer, at the conference level: Vice President (programming planning) and Treasurer, Western Jurisdiction level: Regional School Secretary and Dean. I represented Alaska at the Public Education Summit. Additionally, I organized the Alaska Conference UMW Young Women’s Limitless initiative/Retreat. I recently served as a United Methodist Women’s National Director, representing the Western Jurisdiction.

I am an active member of Anchor Park UMC. At APUMC, I am currently Lay Leader at my church and through the years have served in various leadership roles. I served on the Birchwood Camp Board as President and a board member. I served many years on the Conference Outdoor Ministries Committee.
