Jane Ginter
Secretary / Communications
I am a life-long Methodist from Southern California. I moved to Juneau, sight unseen, when I was pregnant with my first child, 38 years ago. I worked as a fisheries economist and then with computers. I organized the AFS exchange student program for 20 years and was a Girl Scout leader extraordinaire.
I have lived in Costa Rica as an AFS exchange student; Vancouver, Canada as a graduate student; and Rome, Italy as a consultant for Food and Agriculture Organizations of the United Nations. I went to Guatemala on a mission trip and I try to keep up my "advanced intermediate" level of Spanish.
I have served on almost every church committee and taught Sunday School. I have been a member of Community of Christian Women (my church equivalent of UWiF), and helped run the online auction.
