Pediatric Neurology Services
Dr. Silken is a Pediatric Neurologist who evalulates and treats many neurological problems in children. Some patients may require further evaluation or consultation, such as neurosurgery, genetics, autism, neuromuscular disorders, complicated epilepsy and others. Dr. Silken is affiated with the Mass General Brigham healthcare system. Referrals may sometimes be made for further evaluation to Mass General for Children or Boston Children's Hospital.
Evaluation of Seizures
Evaluation for suspectted seizures.
EEG may be performed at Norwood or Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
MRI or CT scans may be performed at various sites if needed.
Referral for neuropsychological evaluation may be suggested.
Other neurological testing may be indicated.
ADD Evaluations
Neuro-developmental evaluation for attention and cognitive problems.
Concussion evaluations
Neurologcal assessment of head injury severity and prognosis. Concussion Care Plan will be formulated and appropriate restrictions from activities will be discussed. Further testing and follow up will be ordered when indicated.
