Alan B. Silken, M.D. has been practicing pediatric neurology for over 25 years. Dr. Silken graduated Yale University School of Medicine in 1974 and completed pediatric training including Chief Resident in Pediatrics at Yale-New Haven Hospital in 1978. He completed training in Neurology at Boston University Medical Center and Child Neurology including Chief Residency at Boston City Hospital in 1984. Dr. Silken is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology and by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Silken practices at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and Norwood Hospital, where he served as Medical Staff President. He is Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Tufts Medical School. He also holds an appointment as Clinical Associate in Pediatrics and Neurology, Massachusetts General Hospital.
