How to get there?

Arrival at Monte Verità

Monte Verità is located uphill from the Ascona lakefront. We recommend to take advantage of the free shuttle bus on Sunday afternoon. Alternatively, Monte Verità can be reached using public transport or taxi. More directions can be found here:

Monte Verità complex consists of guesthouses, restaurants, a museum and a park. The check-in desk for all buildings is located at the Albergo Bauhaus (see location 6 on the map below).

Free shuttle bus from Locarno Train Station to Monte Verita

A free 9-seater shuttle bus to Monte Verità will be available for 4 to 5 hours on arrival day. The service will run from 3pm to 7pm on Sunday 9th June, in approximately 40 minute intervals: at 15:35, 16:15, 16:55, 17:35, 18:15, 18:55.

This service is free.

The shuttle meeting point is on the right side of the train platforms in Locarno.

From Zurich airport

Around 3 hours by train via the Gotthard tunnel (very frequent schedule available at www.sbb.ch).

From Milan airport

Around 2 hours by car.

From Lugano airport

Around 1 hour by train or 45-55min by car.

From Locarno train station

By bus: line NFB 1 from stop "Locarno, Stazione" to "Ascona, Centro", schedule at www.sbb.ch.
