Please Pass the Cup of Deliverance; 2021. Ceramic, gloss medium, paint. 11"Dx 11"Wx 9.25"H.

My Prayers (Visual Prayer exhibits); 2020. Ceramic, paint, India ink. 9"D x 9"W x12.5"H.
This form is inspired by traditional religious incense burners. There is a removable inner bowl for incense and spaces cut throughout the form for the smoke to pass through. Traditionally this smoke is representative of prayers. This work shows a glimpse of my daily life and the prayers I offer. During all the anxiety, chaos and distraction of each day, I offer up my concerns to God, and things become more peaceful as I remember the loving Creator is in control of it all.
This is a collaborative work showing visual representations of prayer from many artists of the Interfaith Artist Circle.

Alone at night, paralyzed by pain, feeling hollow, a hole running right through me. Yet my hope is in Jesus.
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18
Community Teapot and Teacups. 2016. Porcelain, glaze and underglaze. (Teapot: 10"D x 6.5”W x 9”H )
I made cups and asked each member what motivated them to make art, what essentially "filled their cup"? Then I sgraffitoed a semblance of their answers inside their cup. I also made a teapot for the "Community" to use. We made individual placemats for a Community Tablecloth created by Aimee Orkin (pictured above), and we displayed the cups and teapot upon it. At the end of the show, they received their cups to use and enjoy!
Community Placemat in progress.
