Oct. 17: Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti (Virtual Live Session) We wanted to celebrate Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti as a milestone in the Fall of this year. When the COVID-19 pandemic showed no signs of easing up couple of months before event, we felt uneasy at canceling such an important event for our community. Thus, in search of a safe, but equally meaningful alternative, we embarked on a national endeavor. For the first time, we will be joining hands with our extended family across the country and hosting a virtual, national Agrasen Jayanti using Microsoft Teams. Although 2020 has been a year of great pain and loss for all of us, we hope to use this event to create something joyous and hopeful. As we join with our friends in Washington DC/VA, Houston, Dallas, and New-Jersey, let’s remember that this distance is nothing compared to all that unites us. To my friends in Washington and around, let’s make some new friends. To the friends we are about to meet, we are so excited to get to know you. Let’s exchange ideas and create a larger network of professionals, a matrimonial database, etc. Agrasen Jayanti is 5101 birth anniversary celebrations of a legendary Hindu king Agrasen Maharaj, of Agroha. Born on 15th September 3082 BCE to Suryavanshi Maharaja Vallabh of Pratap Nagar (Rajasthan) in the last stage of Dvaapar Yug. He was married to Maharani Madhavi of Snake Dynasty and was an embodiment of Sacrifice, Compassion, Non-Violence, Messenger of Peace, World Prosperity and a True Socialist. August 18-20: Annual Camping 2017 at Daroga State Park, 1 South Daroga Park Lane, Orondo, WA 98843
Like last year all campers enjoyed the tent-camping again this year along with walk on the trails and organized water activities in Lake Chelan, where most of the campers spent dipping in the lake or jet-skiing. Late night dumb-charades and antakshari and games were supplemented by hot chai after the divine food from Jot Sweets that included poha for breakfast and chhole-bhature for brunch. We parted with visit to fruit picking and some of us spent the remaining evening at Lake Wenatchee. The unfortunate highlight was the high winds that broke 3 of the canopies but all tents remained intact. All of the campers vowed to return back, specially with 5 star rest-rooms and showers.

Fun, Spirituality, Food - were the highlights that more than 150 families/persons enjoyed at this grand event. The beautiful and colorful dresses, the happy and cheerful faces and the selfless work by everyone made this an evening to remember.
Following our tradition, we began with Ganeshji and Lakshmiji Aarti, followed by snacks. Among the highlights of the evening were the delightful and energetic stage performances by all of you with a lot of effort and hard work that went into preparing these, which was clearly evident in the polished performances leaving spectators with aow-wow and superb modern twist on Ramleela brought in all kinds of unexpected turns and gave a new form to the historical story, with dialogues in Hindi that child-actors spoke (not played back or not pre-recorded).
Rich and plentiful food from Kanishka was awesome and thanks to our sponsors for contributing to the event with cash and raffle vouchers: Pooja Agarwal's real estate, Aditi Agarwal's Avondale Smiles and Swati Siotia's SWA jewellery, were cash sponsors.
Thanks to all the volunteers for helping in the event in all capacities, without them and their efforts it would have been impossible to finish the event. .
Aug 19-31: Annual Camping 2016 at Daroga State Park, 1 South Daroga Park Lane, Orondo, WA 98843
With over 100 persons attending the camping, largest attendance so far, with about 30 families, each family had lot of fun with overnight family tent camping, in a private group campsite with lush green lawns, beautiful view, private kitchen shelter and private restrooms. Without the need for shuttle service this time, kids and adults equally enjoyed the awesome chef, who flew from California just for the event. With gourmet food cooked right on site people enjoyed the pav-bhaji, chhole-bhature, naan-paneer, paratha, gulab jamun, halwa, kheer, etc. and every one felt as though they were part of marriage party rather than just camping. Late night antakshari and charades kept adults and children awake almost all night, with kids not wanting to return or go to sleep. Many families enjoyed the fresh fruit picking and water fun on Lake Chelan. The never ending several rounds of tea, dancing and gup-shup, this was a new experience with extended bonding time.
We had to skip the annual summer picnic this year due to scheduling conflicts.

Nov. 21: Diwali Milan & Ravan Dahan at Kirkland Boys and Girls club, by many volunteers who stepped up to organize the event.
Continuing our tradition, we started with Ganesh and Lakshmi Puja followed by awesome variety cultural show, including performances from all ages. Kids light up the Ravans they have created and brought from home along with big community Ravan, followed by sparklers which lightens up the mood for Festival of lights. This year, we indulged ourselves in traditional marwari food, daal-baati-churma food, which even though was catered but had all the love and flavor like home cooked food and finally burning off all the calories on open-floor dance with DJ.
Oct. 29: Karwa Chauth, amazing program organized "by the volunteers, for the volunteers, of the volunteers", first of its kind and hosted by Rashi and Shalabh Agrawal in their community Club house, 6001 140th Ave NE Redmond, WA. The leads on this event did an excellent job by taking the responsibility of running the show from beginning to end and was praised by every one. The food catered from Bombay House was specially ordered to be without garlic/onion and every one enjoyed the Bingo. The best part was when husbands sang/said few words in praise of their loved wife, while some came prepared others were looking around for help and asking google baba to give pointers. All in all a well organized event, even though chandra bhagwan decided to play a hiding game only to show up later.
Oct. 13: Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti
Aug. 21-23: Annual Camping at GroupSite on 5700 S.W. Dash Point Road, Dash Point State Park, Federal Way, WA, 98023
All families had lot of fun with overnight family tent camping, in a private campsite. Everyone enjoyed the bonding on the shuttle-runs for the rest-rooms while counting maximum number of people that can be packed in one van. Kids loved handing out in the open vehicles from beach while many enjoyed traditional games. Late night antakshari and charades kept adults and children awake almost all night, with kids not wanting to return or go to sleep. All this fun carried along with divine food many times a day, including on-site cooked chhole-bhatura, and all-men cooked barbecue. The on-site casino kept all pros and amateur hooked on the game tables. The never ending load of tea, dancing and gup-shup, with over all really good extended bonding time.
