Activities of Daily Living
Advanced Living Care, LLC provides personal care assistant services to persons with physical and developmental disability who need assistance caring for themselves as result of old age, sickness, disability, and/or other inflictions in their own homes.
Assisting with eating:
Preparing food for clients with eating difficulties by cutting or poureeing
Monitoring food and liquid intake
Following special diets
Hand washing
Transferring to chair/table and from chair/table
Observing eating behaviors
Monitoring eating safety risks, swallowing and choking
Assisting with bathing:
Bed bathing, sponge bathing, tub bathing, showering
Using bath equipments
Basic skin care
Assisting and providing grooming:
Oral care
Shaving with electric or safety razor and beard trimming
Applying make-up and deodorant
Hair care
Basic nail care
Prosthetics care
Care of eyeglasses
Assisting with undressing and dressing:
Application of clothing and special appliance or wraps
Assisting with toileting:
Monitoring bowel movements and appearance
Providing bowel and bladder incontinence care
Transferring, mobility, and positioning
Feminine hygiene
Using of toileting equipment or supplies
Cleansing the perineal area
Inspecting of the skin and adjusting clothing
Assisting with transfers:
One person pivot transfer using wheelchair, walker, and/or cane
Transferring the person from one seating area to another
Transferring back and forth from bed/wheelchair/couch
Assisting with mobility:
Ambulation
Assisting with walking using walker or cane
Assisting with wheelchair
Assisting with positioning:
Assisting with positioning in bed, wheelchair, etc.
Assisting with positioning cradles, rolls, and pillows
Supervision:
Cueing, or prompting of a member
