How do people make decisions when problems become too complex to solve or represent perfectly? Our research studies the computational and cognitive constraints underlying choice, and how people adapt to them.
We study the computational foundations of search and choice; how memory and computational demands shape behavior, information processing, and beliefs; and how people reorganize information processing or use decision aids when faced with complexity.
CURRENT PROJECTS:
The Computational Foundations of Search and Choice (with Javier Vazquez)
Space Complexity and Decision Aids (with Luis Camas and Ian Krajbich)
Space Complexity in Lottery Choice (with Hamza Amal)
Complexity in Task Ordering (with Jonas Fooken, Alexandros Karakostas, and Carlos Oyarzun)
