My name is Ian Copestake and I am a native English-speaking academic who has lived in Frankfurt am Main for 15 years. My aim in creating Slovos has been to help bridge the gap between scholarly production in English and publication of that work. I balance my own scholarly research with teaching, editing and translation and have been editor of the William Carlos Williams Review since 2007 (published by Penn State UP) and helped found the Lowell/Bishop Journal which is forthcoming from the same press. I received my Ph.D in 2000 from the School of English, University of Leeds, and taught for five years at the JWGoethe University in Frankfurt. Below you can find links to details of collections of academic essays I have edited. My current academic projects include final preparations for the publication of my second book, entitled Madness and the Sea in the American Imagination.
