Mae'r ddogfen hon yn cynnwys y diwygiadau a wnaed yn y Cyfarfod Cyffredinol Blynyddol ar 27 Ebrill 1993 a'r newidiadau a awgrymwyd gan y Comisiynwyr Elusennau ar 19 Mai 1993 ac a gytunwyd yn y Cyfarfod Cyffredinol Blynyddol ar 20 Medi 1994.
Mae'r ddogfen hon hefyd yn cynnwys y diwygiadau a wnaed yn y Cyfarfod Cyffredinol Blynyddol ar 8 Hydref 1996 ac a gytunwyd yn flaenorol gan y Comisiynwyr Elusennau ar 19 Gorffennaf 1996, a'r rhai a wnaed mewn Cyfarfod Cyffredinol Arbennig ar 28 Chwefror 2006.
Enw'r gymdeithas fydd Cymdeithas Gorawl Aberystwyth, y cyfeirir ati o hyn ymlaen fel y Gymdeithas.
Amcanion y Gymdeithas fydd addysgu'r cyhoedd yn y celfyddydau a’r gwyddorau, ac yn arbennig celfyddyd a gwyddor cerddoriaeth, trwy gyflwyno cyngherddau a gweithgareddau eraill.
Aelodau'r Gymdeithas, ac eithrio'r Llywydd a fydd yn aelod nad yw'n talu, fydd y personau hynny sy'n talu tanysgrifiad blynyddol ar y gyfradd neu'r cyfraddau priodol a benderfynir gan y Pwyllgor, gyda'r tanysgrifiad yn daladwy ymlaen llaw, ac (yn achos aelodau sy'n perfformio) sy’n medru dangos tystiolaeth o’r gallu cerddorol y mae'r Pwyllgor yn gofyn amdano.
Bydd rheolaeth y Gymdeithas yn nwylo Pwyllgor sy'n cynnwys Cadeirydd, Is-Gadeirydd, dau/dwy Ysgrifennydd Mygedol, Trysorydd Mygedol, Swyddog Cyhoeddusrwydd Mygedol, Llyfrgellydd Mygedol a chwe aelod arall, a bydd pob un ohonynt yn cael eu hethol gan aelodau'r Gymdeithas, ac o’u plith hwy, yn y Cyfarfod Cyffredinol Blynyddol ac yn dal y swydd tan y Cyfarfod Cyffredinol Blynyddol nesaf, ond byddant yn gymwys i'w hailethol.
Gall y Pwyllgor gyfethol dim mwy na phedwar person i wasanaethu ar y Pwyllgor tan y Cyfarfod Cyffredinol Blynyddol nesaf, ond ni ellir penodi neb yn aelod cyfetholedig os yw hynny’n golygu bod mwy na thraean o aelodau'r Pwyllgor yn aelodau cyfetholedig o ganlyniad.
Bydd yr holl drefniadau ar gyfer y cyngherddau a digwyddiadau eraill a rheolaeth y cyllid yn nwylo'r Pwyllgor.
(a) Daw'r flwyddyn ariannol i ben ar 31 Awst.
(b) Bydd y cyfrifon banc yn cael eu hagor yn enw'r Gymdeithas a bydd sieciau yn cael eu llofnodi gan ddau o’r tri llofnodwr awdurdodedig, sef y Trysorydd, y Cadeirydd a'r Ysgrifennydd.
(c) Gall y Gymdeithas dderbyn rhoddion, grantiau cymorth a gwarantau ariannol, a gall werthu tocynnau i'r cyhoedd ar gyfer pob cyngerdd a phob digwyddiad arall a drefnir ganddi.
(ch) Rhaid defnyddio incwm ac eiddo'r Gymdeithas, sut bynnag y’i codwyd, yn unig er hyrwyddo amcanion y Gymdeithas fel y’u nodir uchod ac ni chaiff unrhyw gyfran ohono ei thalu na'i throsglwyddo'n uniongyrchol neu'n anuniongyrchol i unrhyw aelod neu aelodau o'r Gymdeithas ac eithrio i dalu costau cyfreithlon yn codi o weithgarwch y Gymdeithas.
O fewn deuddeg wythnos i bob blwyddyn ariannol caiff yr aelodau eu galw i Gyfarfod Cyffredinol Blynyddol y byddant wedi cael rhybudd ysgrifenedig o bedwar diwrnod ar ddeg o leiaf ohono.
Bydd y cyfrifon ariannol, ar ôl iddynt gael eu harchwilio'n annibynnol yn unol â rheoliadau'r Comisiynwyr Elusennau, yn cael eu cyflwyno i'r aelodau yn y Cyfarfod Cyffredinol Blynyddol.
Gellir diwygio'r cyfansoddiad gan fwyafrif o ddwy ran o dair o'r aelodau sy'n bresennol mewn Cyfarfod Cyffredinol Blynyddol, ar yr amod bod pedwar diwrnod ar ddeg o rybudd o'r diwygiad arfaethedig wedi'i anfon at yr holl aelodau ac ar yr amod na fydd unrhyw beth a gynhwysir ynddo yn awdurdodi unrhyw ddiwygiad a fydd yn peri i’r Gymdeithas beidio â bod yn elusen.
Gellir diddymu'r Gymdeithas drwy Benderfyniad a gaiff ei basio gan fwyafrif o ddwy ran o dair o'r rhai sy'n bresennol ac yn pleidleisio mewn Cyfarfod Cyffredinol Arbennig a gynullwyd i’r diben hwnnw ac y cafodd yr aelodau 21 diwrnod o rybudd ohono. Gall penderfyniad o'r fath roi cyfarwyddiadau ar gyfer gwaredu unrhyw asedau a ddelir gan y Gymdeithas neu yn enw'r Gymdeithas, ar yr amod, os bydd unrhyw eiddo ar ôl wedi i bob dyled ac ymrwymiad gael eu talu, na fydd yr eiddo hwnnw yn cael ei dalu na'i rannu ymhlith aelodau'r Gymdeithas ond yn cael ei roi neu ei drosglwyddo i unrhyw sefydliad neu sefydliadau elusennol eraill sydd ag amcanion tebyg i rai neu i bob un o amcanion y Gymdeithas fel y mae’r Gymdeithas yn gweld yn dda ac os na ellir gweithredu ar hyn, yna at ryw ddiben elusennol arall.
This document includes the amendments made at the Annual General Meeting on 27 April 1993 and the amendments suggested by the Charity Commissioners on 19 May 1993 and agreed at the Annual General Meeting on 20 September 1994.
This document also includes the amendments made at the Annual General Meeting on 8 October 1996 and previously agreed by the Charity Commissioners on 19 July 1996, and those made at an Extraordinary General Meeting on 28 February 2006.
The name of the society shall be the Aberystwyth Choral Society, hereinafter referred to as the Society.
The objects of the Society shall be to educate the public in the arts and science, and in particular the art and science of music, by the presentation of concerts and other activities.
The Members of the Society, with the exception of the President who shall be a non-paying member, shall be those persons who pay an annual subscription at the appropriate rate or rates as shall be determined by the Committee, the subscription being payable in advance, and (in the case of performing members) who shall provide such evidence of musical ability as the Committee requires.
The management of the Society shall be in the hands of a Committee consisting of a Chairman, a Vice Chairman, two Honorary Secretaries, an Honorary Treasurer, and Honorary Publicity Officer, Honorary Librarian and six other members, all of whom shall be elected by and out of the Society's members at the Annual General Meeting and shall hold office until the next following Annual General Meeting but shall be eligible for re-election.
The Committee may co-opt not more than four persons to serve on the Committee until the next following Annual General Meeting, but no-one may be appointed as a co-opted member if, as a result, more than one-third of the members of the Committee would be co-opted members.
All the arrangements for the concerts and other events and the control of finance shall be in the hands of the Committee.
(a) The financial year shall end on 31 August.
(b) The banking accounts shall be opened in the name of the Society and cheques shall be signed by two of three authorised signatories who shall be the Treasurer, the Chairman and the Secretary.
(c) The Society may receive donations, grants in aid and financial guarantees, and tickets for any or all of its concerts and other events may be offered for sale to the public.
(d) The income and property of the Society whencesoever derived shall be applied solely towards promoting the objects of the Society as set forth above and no portion thereof shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly to any member or members of the Society except in payment of legitimate expenses incurred on behalf of the Society.
Within twelve weeks of each financial year the members shall be summoned to an Annual General Meeting of which at least fourteen days' notice in writing shall have been given.
The financial accounts, having been independently examined in line with the regulations of the Charity Commissioners, shall be submitted to the members at the Annual General Meeting.
The constitution may be amended by a two-thirds majority of the members present at an Annual General Meeting, provided that fourteen days' notice of the proposed amendment has been sent to all members and provided also that nothing herein contained shall authorise any amendment which shall have the effect of the Society ceasing to be a charity.
The Society may be dissolved by a Resolution passed by a two-thirds majority of those present and voting at a Special General Meeting convened for the purpose of which 21 days' notice shall have been given to the members. Such resolution may give instructions for the disposal of any assets held by or in the name of the Society, provided that if any property remains after the satisfaction of all debts and liabilities such property shall not be paid or distributed among members of the Society but shall be given or transferred to such other charitable institution or institutions having objects similar to some or all of the objects of the Society as the Society may determine and if and in so far as effect cannot be given to this provision then to some other charitable purpose.

2. Mae’r canlynol, sy’n dal swydd fel aelod o Bwyllgor Cymdeithas Gorawl Aberystwyth, yn cadw data personol ar ran y Gymdeithas: Cadeirydd, Ysgrifennydd, Trysorydd, Swyddog Cyhoeddusrwydd, Llyfrgellydd, Ysgrifennydd Cymdeithasol, Ysgrifennydd Cymorth Rhodd, Ysgrifennydd y Noddwyr ac Arweinwyr Adran.
3. Mae Cymdeithas Gorawl Aberystwyth yn casglu data personol aelodau, noddwyr, y cyfryngau a gwasanaethau proffesiynol eraill, hysbysebwyr, ac ati. Mae’r Gymdeithas yn cadw gwybodaeth o’r fath ar gyfer ei defnydd ei hun yn unig, er enghraifft, i weinyddu tanysgrifiadau aelodaeth, i gysylltu ag aelodau a noddwyr, i roi gwybodaeth am ddyddiadau a lleoliadau ymarferion, gweithgareddau cymdeithasol ac, yn achlysurol, am ddigwyddiadau cerddorol lleol.
4. Mae aelodau yn cyflenwi data personol pan fyddant yn ymuno â’r Gymdeithas bob blwyddyn: enw, cyfeiriad, cyfeiriad e-bost, rhif ffôn cartref a ffôn symudol. Cedwir eu manylion cyswllt ar restrau gweithredol o’r aelodaeth am flwyddyn wedi iddynt ymuno â’r Gymdeithas, ond gellid eu cadw am hyd at bum mlynedd i bwrpas gwahodd cyn-aelodau i ailymuno mewn rhai achosion. Cedwir data personol noddwyr sy’n cyfrannu’n rheolaidd at y Gymdeithas ar restr weithredol o noddwyr cyhyd â’u bod yn dal i gyfrannu, ond gellid eu cadw am hyd at bum mlynedd wedyn er mwyn gwneud ceisiadau pellach am gefnogaeth.
5. Mae Cymdeithas Gorawl Aberystwyth yn rhannu data personol gyda Chyllid a Thollau EM i hawlio ad-daliadau Cymorth Rhodd a chyda’r Comisiwn Elusennau i roi manylion cyswllt Ymddiriedolwyr (aelodau’r Pwyllgor).
6. Mae Cymdeithas Gorawl Aberystwyth yn dal data yn unol â safonau arfer da ynghylch diogelwch data personol teuluol. Nid yw data yn cael eu hamgryptio. Mae aelodau’r Pwyllgor yn cadw data yn eu cartrefi, naill ai ar bapur neu ar eu cyfrifiaduron neu eu dyfeisiau personol. Ni anfonir e-byst grŵp at aelodau na noddwyr gyda’r cyfeiriadau yn agored, hynny yw, lle mae cyfeiriad e-bost un derbynnydd yn weladwy i un arall.
7. Gall unrhyw un sydd wedi cyflwyno data personol i Gymdeithas Gorawl Aberystwyth dynnu yn ôl eu caniatâd i ddefnyddio neu i gadw’r data hynny ar unrhyw adeg drwy roi gwybod i swyddog o’r Gymdeithas (gweler paragraff 2 uchod), er enghraifft, trwy ofyn am gael tynnu eich enw oddi ar y rhestr e-bostio. Data Protection Policy
1. This policy describes how Aberystwyth Choral Society handles personal data.
2. The following, who hold office as Committee members of the Aberystwyth Choral Society, hold personal data on behalf of the Society: Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Publicity Officer, Librarian, Social Secretary, Gift Aid Secretary, Patrons Secretary and Section Leaders.
3. Aberystwyth Choral Society collects personal data of members, patrons, media and other professional services, advertisers, etc. The Society holds such information solely for its own purposes, for example, to administer membership subscriptions, to communicate with members and patrons, to provide information about rehearsal dates and venues, social activities and, occasionally, local musical events.
4. Members provide personal data when they join the Society each year: name, address, email address, landline and mobile telephone numbers. Their contact details are held on active membership lists for a year after they join the Society, and may be retained for up to five years for the purposes of inviting former members to rejoin in certain instances. The personal data of patrons who make regular donations to the Society are held on an active patrons’ list for as long as they are making donations, and may be retained for up to five years afterwards for possible further appeals for support.
5. Aberystwyth Choral Society shares personal data with HM Revenue & Customs to claim Gift Aid repayments and with the Charity Commission to provide contact details of Trustees (Committee members).
6. Aberystwyth Choral Society holds data in accordance with good practice standards of personal domestic data security. Data are not encrypted. Committee members store data in their homes on paper records, computers or personal devices. Group emails to members or patrons are not sent as open address emails, that is, where the email address of one recipient is visible to another.
7. Anyone who has given personal data to Aberystwyth Choral Society may withdraw consent to use or hold that data at any time by informing a Society officeholder (see paragraph 2 above), for example, by asking to be removed from an email mailing list. Mae Cymdeithas Gorawl Mae Cymdeithas Gorawl Aberystwyth (CGA) yn gôr cymysg gydag oddeutu 70 o aelodau a ffurfiwyd ym 1970. Mae’n elusen gofrestredig 500518. Mae’n perfformio dau gyngerdd y flwyddyn yng Nghanolfan y Celfyddydau Aberystwyth i gyfeiliant cerddorfa (Sinfonia Cambrensis) sy’n cynnwys offerynwyr proffesiynol a rhai lleol. Mae CGA yn ymrwymedig i wneud canu corawl yn weithgarwch sy’n agored i bawb ac ni chynhelir clyweliadau.

Equal Opportunities Policy
General Framework
Aberystwyth Choral Society (ACS) is a mixed choir of around 70 members which was founded in 1970. It is a registered charity 500518. It performs two concerts a year in the Aberystwyth Arts Centre accompanied by an orchestra (Sinfonia Cambrensis) consisting of professional and local instrumentalists. ACS is committed to making choral singing an activity that is open to everyone and there are no auditions.
ACS recognises that certain groups of people may suffer discrimination and disadvantage based on their race (colour, ethnicity and ethnic origin, nationality and national origin), gender, age, disability, religion or belief, marital status and sexual orientation. It is committed to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment in its rehearsals and other activities and to ensuring that all those involved in its activities are treated fairly.
Implementation
Overall responsibility for implementing this policy lies with the ACS Committee.
To implement this policy ACS will:
require members and contractors to act in accordance with this policy
as far as practicable, identify and respond to the needs of people from disadvantaged groups
instigate appropriate procedures to deal with complaints
monitor, evaluate and review the policy regularly and as necessary to respond to current equalities legislation
respond to feedback
In particular, ACS regards discrimination, bullying, harassment and victimization as unacceptable conduct. All complaints will be taken seriously, investigated sensitively and dealt with appropriately.
Scope of Policy
This policy applies to members of the choir, its committee, its contractors and all others involved in or affected by its activities.
