Sponsored by the Human Dimensions of Global Change Specialty Group
Climate change is one of the world’s most pressing challenges, one that will require human adaptation to new and in some cases more hazardous environmental conditions. Despite substantial advancement in modeling global climate change, less is known about how human responses will interact with ecosystem responses to produce outcomes of exposure and sensitivity. In this special symposium, we highlight new research on vulnerability, resilience, and adaptation to climate change from a variety of geographic perspectives.
