We are honored to host Bay Ridge's Community Supported Agriculture project. Saturday mornings through much of the year people are coming and going, gathering organic vegetables, fruit, and eggs from local farmers. We believe in this sustainable method of farming and relish the connections we make with the neighborhood.

An exciting new initiative literally sits in front of the church. Neighbors are able to drop their compost in the large bins which are picked up weekly.
The Big ReUse partners with NYC Sanitation. They compost food scraps locally at their processing site at their Salt Lot facility located on the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn. In 2019 alone, they diverted 1.7 million pounds of organic waste from landfills.
The Healing Center is committed to the intervention and prevention of family violence, abuse and sexual assault, serving people of diverse faiths, cultures, and personal experiences.
Fourth Avenue Presbyterian Church hosts the Trinity Healing Center's monthly workshops for Brooklyn's Church Leaders. The explicit purpose of this workgroup is to make our houses of worship safe places for victims of domestic violence, to make our pulpits and pews centers of advocacy and awareness-raising about the issues, and places of referral to professionals who can offer the much needed help (legal and otherwise).
