Are you, or do you know, a person looking to share their story? Here is the opportunity of a lifetime.
Senior Interviews are one-on-one interviews recorded uncut. Most commonly, the interviewee is a grandparent willing and/or eager to share their story for their children and grandchildren. Our interviewer will ask questions about the grandparent's life, experiences, family, and more; all recorded in an uncut and unedited 60-minute video. The video can then be shared via Internet, DVD, or memory card.
"I am thankful for interviewing my grandfather on camera before his health deteriorated.
"He shared stories of his overseas deployment in World War II; his siblings, parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents and where they lived and what they did; how he fell in love and married my grandmother, the excitement of the birth of his children; and more. He used his old photos to show us who people were and when/where/why the photos were taken.
"I used the video to updated and expand our online family tree. Without this interview, I would have never known that my great-grandfather was a single father for many years, or that he had cut off a hand in saw mill blade, or that my grandfather's childhood home was always filled with music.
"The interview is one of my most treasured possessions, and something I plan to share with my own children and future grandchildren." -- Aaron Wissner
Question selection is up to the package purchaser and the interviewee. We start with a standard set of questions to which more questions can be added, deleted, and modified. The location is also at the option of the purchaser and interviewee. Typically, it is in the home of the interviewee, apartment, retirement center, or another family member's home, but other options are available. A typical interview is one hour, but longer options are available as well.
As an option, interviewees can also have others in front or behind the camera, for example:
Grandchild sits next to grandparent and asks questions
Two grandparents sit together with one being interviewed, and the other grandparent adding details and/or perspectives
Child(ren) with parents
Family member sitting behind the camera with only the grandparent on camera.
Other options
The video and audio quality of your Senior Interview are guaranteed. We set up backup camcorder and audio recorder. Videos are also archived for one full year (in the event a DVD or other copy is lost/damaged/destroyed).
