Welcome to Webelos I Den
What is expected of my Webelos I Scout & me?
Your new Webelos I scout will be required to complete (5) "Core" Adventures and (2) Elective Adventure in order to receive his "Webelos Rank / Badge"
* If your family does not have Internet access at home AND you do not have ready Internet access at school or another public place or via a mobile device, let your DL or Committee Chair know so we can make arrangements to bring in one of our laptops etc. for your scout to use.
Ideally we would like to have the scouts complete these advancement requirements by end of February or March. If any of the adventure requirements are missed it will be up to the parent to make this item up. Your Den Leader will be happy to work with you on any make up items that are needed.
The defined / required adventures are designed to be worked on in the den. It is the Den Leader's choice if he wants each scout to pick their own elective or if he wants all scouts to do the same one as a den. The Duty to God adventure can and should be done at home with family or at place of worship.
Once Core / required adventures are completed, there are a total of 18 elective adventures for your Webelos to work on if he would like to earn extra Activity Pins.
Summary The boys participate with their adult partners. The program emphasizes shared leadership, learning about the community, the enviroment and family understanding.

Parent Action Items!
NOTE: As your scout grows you are expected to take a step back and let your scout be more responsible for his own Adventures. As a Webelos (Pre Boy Scout) he should be doing all the communicating with the Den Leader on items he has completed on his own. Helping him become more responsible is a cruital step into Boy Scouts.
You can help the pack by being a parent volunteer at our Santa Breakfast, Blue & Gold Banquet, Pinewood Derby or other pack events.
