Hi All, we arrived in Coral Bay on Thursday 9th August, and as a treat we have booked into a very nice lodge with a bed and en-suite, a bit extravagant I know but the first night out of the tent since 5th July. Coral Bay is the prettiest beach so far with an abundance of fish and coral. Coral Bay is as idyllic as the name suggests.
A small but delightful bay with bobbing boats, white Coral sand and shallow waters. One bar and three restaurants with a good buzz all around.
A fantastic reef and superb lagoons run alongside the bay making a visual treat in colours, the reef attracts every thing marine and fisherman are in heaven.
The local baker does an excellent beef salad roll and a tasty long black so life is good.
Last night I was woken up by a scratching noise in the bathroom, Tonia was trying to dig a hole in the tiles with the shovel, I think we will have to revert back to camping pretty soon. There do not seem to be any flags or lifeguards or safety signs? All the beaches in Eastern Australia seem to have flags, guards, towers and boats every 100m but nothing here?
