What is this Life if full of gravity

there is no place for impropriety,

or just a dash of common insanity

to relieve the dullness of daily piety.

With a pinch of relief does a dose of hilarity

refresh the spirit of impenitent levity,

or seasons the conscience attuned to the nicety

of faithful Observance to the point of satiety.

What use is the Sister whose dubious quality

queries ground rules with inordinate clarity,

whose behavioural lapses earn her notoriety

As she sticks out a mile and disturbs the majority?
