Grades 3 -5 Summer School Exploring Siren
Students went out and about visiting and learning about many local businesses:
Community Bank, Professional Technology Tutor, Lee's Sports, Village Hall, Siren Tel, O'Reilly Auto Parts, Siren Pharmacy, Siren Chiropractor, The Pet Store, Block & Cleaver Artisan Meats, North States, The Tank - Dave Hall VFW, Daniel's Plumbing
4th grade
Field trip to WI State Capitol to learn more about how our government works.
8th grade
Students attend a Career Day at WITC Rice Lake in the spring. Students are able to choose 2 careers of interest to learn more about. Students also gain experience navigating the school campus.
All high school students
Required to get 10 hours of community service each year
Partnerships with local Lions Club, VFW, Moms for Kids, Restorative Justice, Earth day activities within community, youth sports programs and more
On site Outreach Expo with college, military and business representatives
Students in CTE classes have the opportunity to attend an Apprenticeship Fair (spring) , the Manufacturing Day at Pine Technical College along with a tour of local business, the Manufacturing Expo at WITC and Career Day at WITC (fall)
Customer Service & Hospitality Coaching Program - in partnership with WI Dept of Tourism and Siren Chamber of Commerce - May 1, 2018
Opportunity to visit All Skills Career Day - A hands on career fair in Polk County experience showcasing approximately 50 regional employers - May 1, 2019

All students attend 1 or 2 college tours in late February.

National College Fair - Minneapolis - 2019

Beginning in school year 2018-19 Financial Service Customer Representative technical diploma available through a partnership with WITC

FAFSA Information Night in October - presented by a post secondary institution - in 2017 & 2018 it was UW Superior
Participate in Mad City money in late February - partnership with Indianhead Credit Union and community volunteers
Toured Nexen, Inc in Webster, WI
