OALCF MILESTONES

A DOI²T learner might engage in a DOI²T activity for several months or only for a single 1-2 hour session. Regardless of engagement length, learners are still learning complex and valuable skills. Furthermore, there are a number of pertinent Milestones that can be completed quickly and painlessly during these short DOI²T sessions. Below is a list, organized by DOI²T technology, of the Milestones that we (SHLC) feel are most appropriate to complete and the easiest.

Milestone #14-a Watch and/or listen to a film, broadcast or presentation to extract information.

Milestone #28 Create and organize a to-do list.

Milestone #36 Use a medium of your choice to express yourself creatively.

Milestone #54 Log into a user account on a computer.

Milestone #55 Conduct an Internet search.

Milestone #57 Identify the ways you have begun to demonstrate that you can set realistic shortterm goals, use learning strategies, and monitor your own learning. (Only works for attendees of multiple DOI²T sessions.)

Milestone #60 Engage with others to achieve a shared outcome. (Only works if learner was active in a group environment. Only works for attendees of multiple DOI²T sessions.)
