2026 - 2027 Reflection Arts Contest

Step 1: Find your division and art category

• Review the general rules and participation divisions.

• Choose the appropriate art category.

• Review the rules for the selected art category.

Step 2: Prepare your submission

• Create your artwork based on this year's theme: What My Culture Means to Me!

• Prepare  your artist statement in 10 to 100 words to show your work relates to the theme.

• Choose a unique title for your entry.

• Take pictures of any physical artwork (up to 3 pictures for  3D artwork).

• Label your digital files using this format "State.Art Category.Grade Division.Last Name.First Name"

Example:  CA.DANCE.MID.SMITH.JOHN

Step 3:  Submit Online Form

• Required for all entries.

• Submit the virtual entry form using the personal email of student/guardian. Do not use your MUSD student email for submitting the Google form.

• Review the confirmation email from the form submission and resubmit the form if any correction is needed.

Step 4: Submit Physical Artwork

• Only required for Visual Arts and Photography categories.

• Refer the physical entry form for requirements for mounting the entries.

• Label the back of your artwork with "State.Art Category.Grade Division.Last Name.First Name"
