Information for Community Members
All Simsbury High School students design and complete year-long Capstone projects around an individual interest during their junior or senior year. Students are encouraged to use their projects to explore a true passion related to future academic, career, or personal goals. Some students have academic interests, while others design projects that are extracurricular-, community-, or vocation-based.

Why Become a Community Mentor?
Interaction with supportive adults in the community helps students learn from local experts, understand “real-world” opportunities and expectations, and experience a sense of belonging. Community mentors often inspire students to pursue further work or education. By mentoring a high school student, you can make a genuine, lifelong impact.
