Course Description
Welcome to Grade Ten English II! During this course, we will examine various periods and genres of literature as an expression of thought. Readings will include fiction, nonfiction, novels, short stories, poetry, essays, and a variety of excerpts. Also, in preparation for the future SAT assessments, students will engage in extensive vocabulary and grammar study. This course emphasizes usage, vocabulary skills, and close reading for the development of sophisticated literary analysis in discussion and in composition.

Throughout this course, in addition to developing content and knowledge skills, students will deepen the following Simsbury VoG skills as well.
